Vizio Complaints - Defective product, poor customer service!

Hi Lovees - below is what I sent to complaintsboards.com regarding my experience with VIZIO. I had this crappy tv for over 3 years. A couple of weeks ago, when i was in sam's club, i got brave and told the manager my entire story. he immediately told me i could bring the tv back and get a replacement.

LOVEES - this tv was over 3 years old and SAMS CLUB replaced it. Thank god i saved the receipt. Sams club is the best. I am now watching a beautiful 46" SAMSUNG. I will never purchase a vizio product again - they truly do not stand behind their products. Thank god Sams Club does. Please read what i sent to complaintsboard.com:

Vizio Complaints - Defective product, poor customer service!: "I purchased the 42 inch vizio in october 06. In Sept 07 I noticed a black streak on the front of the tv. After waiting to see if it would go away I finally emailed vizio in feb. 08. They replied with instructions on how to reboot the tv, etc. It did not work. After playing alot of phone tags and sending pictures to the repairman and talking to headquarters...

VIZIO will not replace my tv. The black mark has gotten worse - it has continued through the entire screen and another mark is starting on the other side of the screen.

I told VIZIO I would never buy from them again. They didn't care.

We really need to get together an do something about this. I bought this TV from Sams for $1, 400 and did NOT purchase the extended warranty because these TV's are suppose to last for over 20 years. Mine lasted 11 months."

Where's The Door Gary

hi lovees - gary told me this story a long time ago. i laugh every time i think of it. we talked about it tonight.

when gary was young, his fathered passed away from cancer. along with his mother, alot of his friends had no dads. their mothers always went out with their boyfriends. thus, alot of teenage boys were left alone all the time.

one night, when he was a highschooler, and his mom was out with her boyfriend - gary had a huge party at his house. it was very roudy, everyone got drunk, etc. well, bunch of his friends knocked the front door off his house! when he found out about it, he tried with all his might to get the door back on, but couldn't.

when he told me this, i asked him what his mother did to him.

he said that she came home, ran upstairs and got him out of bed and screamed at him "WHERES THE FUCKING FRONT DOOR, GAAAARRRYYYYYY? THERE'S NO FUCKING FRONT DOOR!"

lmao - he is such a dumbass. he really is.

12 Midnite

hi lovees - last night at 9:30 (half hour before close) 4 of my regulars came in. it was her 50th birthday. they only came to our restaurant to celelrate because they wanted me to wait on them. i always give them extra bread to go home with (our bread is excellent) i like them ok but, they aren't the best tippers.

they sat downstairs in our lounge, asked me to sit down and join them - i did. since it was after close i asked the owner if they could smoke. she said as long as the front doors are locked. we sat and bullshitted for over 2 hours. i gave them free drinks and free dessert to celebrate her birthday. the check was only $70 (would have been over $100) - they only left me $15.

my main concern is, that they might think this ok - coming in late and staying til midnite. i hope i didn't open pandora's box. ugh....

hi lovees - i was a dumbass today. at the fall foilage festival today there were tons of venders. i bought 2 dog tags and had my dog's name and my cell phone number engraved on it. ive been wanting to get them just in case my dogs run away.

the local fire department created a road block in order to collect donations in a fireman's boot - as i passed them, i rolled down the window and tossed a handful of change in their boot and drove off. about 10 minutes later i got a phone call on my cell - i accidentally through in one of the dogtags! lol....

i swear - only me. lol

Tortilla Soup

Hi Lovees - I love, love, love this soup.

Tortilla Soup

4 split chicken breasts, bone in, skin on
Extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 cups chopped onions (2 onions)
1 cup chopped celery (2 stalks)
2 cups chopped carrots (4 carrots)
4 large cloves garlic, chopped
2 1/2 quarts chicken stock, preferably homemade
1 (28-ounce) can whole tomatoes in puree, crushed (you can use Ro-tel, as I normally do, just omit the jalapenos)
2 to 4 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander seed
1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro leaves
6 (6-inch) fresh white corn tortillas
Avocado
Sour cream
Grated cheddar-jack blend cheese
Tortilla chips

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Place the chicken breasts skin side up on a sheet pan. Rub with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and roast for 35 to 40 minutes, until done. When the chicken is cool enough to handle, discard the skin and bones, and shred the meat. Cover and set aside.

Meanwhile, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large stock pot. Add the onions, celery, and carrots and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the onions start to brown. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

Add the chicken stock, tomatoes with their puree, jalapenos (if you're using Ro-tel, add 2 cans to substitute for the tomatoes and jalapenos), cumin, coriander, 1 tablespoon salt (depending on the saltiness of the chicken stock), 1 teaspoon pepper, and the cilantro. Cut the tortillas in 1/2, then cut them crosswise into 1/2-inch strips and add to the soup.

Bring the soup to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 25 minutes. Add the shredded chicken and season to taste. Serve the soup hot topped with sliced avocado, a dollop of sour cream, grated Cheddar cheese, and broken tortilla chips.

Gary's Rough Nite

Hi lovees -

Well, gary had a very rough night tonight. every thursday night we get a 5 top that are shitty tippers. the last 2 thursdays, they have been arriving with 2 more people. we have added in our 18% gratuity because we can add it in if there are 7 or more. well, gary had only 5 of them tonight. they stiffed him. we think because they thought the gratuity was already added in.

Later on in the night, gary got stiffed again by a table that had tipped me $2 at the bar, when i made him a great screwdriver. these 2 stiffs started to piss gary off. lol

So, later on, he had a redneck 4 top. they left him $1 on an $88 - and at the same time, a 3 top (filet mignons, broiled scallops, etc) left him $3.

Tonight, Gary went into convulsions in the kitchen. he told us he was gonna quit, etc. He was uber pissed. I tried to calm him down a little. I told him that if he committed suicide tonight, that i would understand why. I also told him that I would have had a complete mental breakdown if I had his nite tonight.

He put a sign on a paper cup that said "gary's tips" and tried to collect money from kitchen staff and other servers. it was hilarious!

Poor, poor Gary. I told him i would be tweeting about him tonight and to look himself up on twitter.com... lol...
